Fire & smoke damage cleanup

The fire is out. Now the restoration begins.

Fire damage doesn't end when the flames are put out. Smoke, soot, odor, the water used to fight the fire, debris and contamination can reach every room and almost everything inside it. Magnolia organizes the recovery so you know what is being cleaned, what is being stored, and what comes back.

After a fire, smoke, water or mold loss, the things inside a home or business carry real financial and personal value. Magnolia evaluates, documents, handles, cleans, stores and returns them.

Pack-out & pack-back

From the first box out to the last box home.

Moving a household's contents out during restoration takes organization and documentation. Every item is photographed, inventoried, packed by room and tracked until it comes home.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can clothes and fabrics really come back after smoke damage?

Often, yes. Many clothes, linens, bedding and curtains can be cleaned and deodorized after smoke and soot exposure. It depends on the fabric, how close it was to the fire, and how long it sat. We sort and inspect every item and tell you which ones can be restored.

What happens to my belongings during a pack-out?

We photograph and list items room by room, pack and label them, and move them out so they are protected during the repairs. Cleanable items are cleaned, and everything is stored until your property is ready. Then we bring it back using the same labels.

Will insurance pay for contents cleaning and pack-out?

Many property policies include coverage for contents, but every policy is different. Check with your insurance company or agent. We document everything we handle so your adjuster has clear records to review.

What if something can't be restored?

We document non-restorable items with photos and descriptions so they can be included in your claim. We don't throw anything away without your approval.

Can I get some clothes back quickly?

Tell us during the first visit which items you need most, such as work or school uniforms, children's clothing and bedding. We set them aside and clean them first when that's possible.

Do you work with other restoration companies?

Yes. Through our partnership program, contractors who handle mitigation and rebuilds can bring Magnolia in for contents, textiles, pack-out and pack-back.

Do you also handle water damage and mold?

Yes. We provide water extraction, structural drying and mold remediation, along with contents protection during that work.
